ScreenoRiz (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is an iOS application that helps you hold yourself accountable for your screen time by translating overtime into a suggested donation amount toward funds supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU).
Summary
ScreenoRiz runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. There is no account system, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. Your screen time data never leaves your iPhone.

What data the app accesses
To function, ScreenoRiz uses three Apple frameworks: Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings. These frameworks are designed by Apple to be privacy-preserving:
- You choose which apps and categories to monitor through Apple’s system picker.
- The app receives opaque tokens — not the names of the apps you selected, not your usage history, not any directly identifiable data.
- Monitoring runs on your device inside a sandboxed system extension.
Specifically, the app accesses and stores locally:
- Your monitoring selections — which apps and categories you chose to track.
- Usage thresholds and limits you configure.
- Time-over-limit values calculated on your device by the Device Activity framework.
- Suggested donation amounts in Ukrainian hryvnia, derived locally from your overtime.
The app does not access your contacts, location, microphone, camera, photos, health data, advertising identifiers, or any data outside the Family Controls scope you explicitly grant.
Where data is stored
All data is stored locally on your device in a shared App Group container (group.app.zymbalevskyi.ScreenoRiz) used by the main app and the monitoring extension. No data is uploaded to a remote server, because we do not operate one.
How data is used
Only to:
- Show your current screen time status, overtime, and suggested donation amount.
- Display alerts and shield screens when you exceed your chosen limits.
- Persist your settings between launches and across the app and extension.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.
Third parties
None. ScreenoRiz contains no third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporters that collect personally identifying information.
Apple itself processes some technical interactions (App Store delivery, the Family Controls authorization screen). Apple’s handling of that data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Donations to ZSU
ScreenoRiz displays a suggested donation amount based on your overtime. The app does not process any payments. If you choose to donate to ZSU funds, you do so externally through your own bank, card, or chosen donation platform. We do not receive, see, facilitate, or take a commission on those payments.
Children’s privacy
ScreenoRiz is intended for users aged 17 and older. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.
Your rights
Because the app does not collect any personal data on a server, we hold no data about you that we could access, correct, transfer, or delete on your behalf. All data lives on your device, under your control.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or are covered by Ukraine’s Law on Personal Data Protection (Про захист персональних даних), you retain rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. For ScreenoRiz, you exercise these rights directly on your device.
How to delete your data
Uninstall the app. All data stored by ScreenoRiz — settings, thresholds, accumulated overtime, and calculated amounts — is removed by iOS when the app is removed.
You may also reset your data at any time from within the app: Settings → Reset all data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Where the changes are material, we will post a notice in the app before they take effect.
